What the Broken Pulper Does

1. Converts discarded or trimmed paper from the press, calender, and reel areas into fibrillated pulp suitable for reintroduction into the furnish.
2. Through screening, shredding, and occasional degritting steps, it removes or disperses contaminants that could cause sheet defects or downstream wear.
3. Breaks down dry or semi-dry broke to achieve a consistent consistency and fiber length distribution before mixing with virgin or recycled pulp streams.
4. By normalizing fiber quality and reducing localized solids spikes, it mitigates abrasion and clogging risks in refiners, refiners, and pump/piping networks.
