M.C. Hydrapulper for Pulp Preparation Systems

The M.C. (Medium Consistency) Hydrapulper is a large, tank-based pulper equipped with a powerful rotor at its bottom. It operates at pulp consistencies typically ranging from 4% to 15%. Unlike low-consistency pulpers used for heavily contaminated wastepaper, the M.C. Hydrapulper is optimized for processing cleaner raw materials like virgin wood pulp (kraft, mechanical, or thermo-mechanical pulp), broke (mill-generated waste), and pre-sorted, high-grade secondary fibers. Its primary function is to efficiently disintegrate and disperse the input material into individual fibers within an aqueous medium, creating a uniform pulp suspension.
Primary Function of M.C. Hydrapulper
1. Its high-torque rotor creates intense hydraulic shear forces that quickly break apart pulp bales, sheets, or dry laps, separating the fibers without excessive cutting or damage.
2. The vigorous circulation ensures complete blending of different pulp types (e.g., mixing softwood and hardwood pulps), additives, or dyes, resulting in a homogeneous stock.
3. It provides an ideal environment for the initial mixing and reaction of pulps with process chemicals, such as bleaching agents or strength additives, at the beginning of a stock preparation line.
As the first major step in transforming raw material into papermaking stock, the efficiency and gentleness of the pulping stage are paramount. The Leizhan M.C. Hydrapulper excels in this role for clean furnish systems, delivering rapid, uniform, and high-quality slushing that protects valuable fiber properties. Welcome to contact us to get more details.
